About the IBSC TP-C® Exam

The IBSC TP-C® exam consists of 135 total questions — 125 scored questions and 10 unscored beta items — with a 2.5-hour time limit. The exam is administered by IBSC at Prometric testing centers. It is based on the 17 critical domains established by the National TEMS Initiative and Council (NTIC), covering TCCC/TECC doctrine, the three phases of tactical care, hemorrhage control, tactical airway management, CBRN agents, and rescue task force operations. A valid paramedic license is required to apply. IBSC recommends that candidates have experience supporting tactical operations and prior completion of a recognized tactical medicine course such as TCCC, TECC, or equivalent. The TP-C® certification is valid for four years.
