The Tactical Paramedic Certified (TP-C®) exam is administered by the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC). The exam consists of 135 multiple-choice questions with a 3-hour time limit. Content domains include tactical combat casualty care (TCCC), threat and risk assessment, hemorrhage control, tactical airway management, operational and environmental medicine, care under fire, and medical planning for tactical operations. Candidates must hold current, unrestricted paramedic licensure and meet education and operational experience requirements. The TP-C® is the recognized credential for paramedics embedded with SWAT, law enforcement tactical teams, and other high-threat operational units.
